The Higher Calling church experience (FAQs)
What should I wear?
We believe that church is a place to meet God just as you are, so we intentionally maintain a casual style of dress throughout the year. Wear what is comfortable to you. God is much more interested in what is going on in our hearts and in our minds than in what we wear. You can expect the pastor to be wearing anything from a collared shirt to a sports jersey, from jeans to cargo shorts…usually without any socks.
Can I take my coffee or food into the
Yes! There is nothing more holy about that room than any other room. What makes it special is WHO gathers there—the family of God!
How do I know what’s going on at Higher Calling?
We have announcements near the beginning of every service. You can also see upcoming events and news on our screen before the service and printed in our weekly bulletin.
What if I don’t know the words to the songs?
We will provide the lyrics up on the screen. Feel free to sing along and worship God with us!
Do I need to have a Bible?
We will provide all the scriptures used in the lesson on the screen. We encourage you to follow along in your own Bible and also to study those passages on your own throughout the week.
Do you have something for children?
